Subject: [propertalk.topic] Thoughts on Palm Sunday and Holy Week
PalmSunday- tomorrow- is when we both mourn and celebrate Jesus’ last week on thisearth before the resurrection. What didGod do? The answer that has been themost meaningful to me over the years is from the Exsultet from the EasterLiturgy: “How wonderful and beyond our knowing, O God, is your mercy andloving-kindness to us, that to redeem a slave, you gave a Son.” We who havebeen slaves to sin and self-centeredness are transformed from a living death toa meaningful life. I’m not preachingtomorrow- just listing the events of the torture and crucifixion. To get an idea of how valuable you personallyare to God, Matthew 27:1-66 is on our web site: http://www.stpaulsepisag.org/#!blog/cq9xas well as in your Bible. I recommendreading a modern translation to get the full impact. We’d also love it if youcame and joined us in person at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 720 Tuscola,Saginaw, Michigan. Our Sunday services are at 8 and 11 AM.
