The coming of the Paraclete, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, is announced by Jesus to his disciples as the Holy Person of the Trinity who will be with them always, even as Jesus will relate our needs to the ears of his Heavenly Father as our Advocate when he ascends to heaven. This saying is in the context of Jesus’ words at the Last Supper in the Gospel according to John. Give God thanks for all our Mothers this Mother’s Day.
