"It's just not right" is a sermon for September 17, 2017, the first one at
<http://sjnj.com/media_view.php> http://sjnj.com/media_view.php and is based
on Matthew 18:21-35.

Today's society does not forgive debts easily, and in some towns there still
exist de facto debtor prisons where people who are unable to pay a debt are
incarcerated based on some technicality that permits imprisoning debtors.
Ferguson, Missouri, is one of these communities which will likely never see
peace until the debtor jail there is emptied. The death penalty is another
instance where there is no forgiveness in about half of the states in the US
who still carry out executions. Until we can find a way to end these
non-Christian ways, we as a society shall be unable to find the peace that
passes understanding.

Peace and blessings,

Joe

(Preaching at the Episcopal Church of Divine Love, Montrose, New York)
