Collect for Proper 21:

Let us pray:

Generous God,
you sent your son Jesus the Christ
to spice up our lives in your kingdom.
we know that if we follow his ways,
even if we lose hand or foot,
we will be the salt of the earth.
We pray that we will never lose our saltiness
to dull stumbling passing gratifications.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God for ever and ever. Amen
