[Propertalk] guile

Just got a call from a credit card company that a suspicious charge of less than a dollar appeared on a card; looking further, there had been quite a few small charges like that, all fraudulent; one had the name 'Amazon', but the account was possibly being tested to ready it for a big bite. That card is now destroyed. By the way, the bank that discovered it was Barclay's. They removed all those charges. Cudos to them!
So beware of those who are 'with guile'!
(Maybe Barclay's are relatives of Nathaniel?)

And in the 'for what's it's worth' category, some have speculated that Nathaniel is the Beloved Disciple.

Peace and Epiphany blessings,

Subject: [Propertalk] guile

In this coming Sunday's Gospel Jesus says Nathaniel has no "guile." The word for guile or deceit is variously translated: treachery, fraud, cunning, duplicity, falsehood. This interesting Greek word means these things. However, the root meaning of the Greek word is “fish bait.” Fish bait is used to deceive the fish into thinking that it is safe food. Therefore, we have the derived meaning of “guile” or deceit”.
