That'll preach!

Thanks for what I shall consider excellent 'to quote from a fellow pastor/priest', Bob, and Judy.
Peace and blessings,
Joe

Thanks for the sermon, Judy.

Just as a question I ask, were I preaching this Sunday, would I think and comment on the fact that there are times in our lives when love, excitement, invitation to participate with someone whom we hold especially dear, is such a blessing that while we feel unable to tell everyone what is going on in our lives, we simply can't contain the overwhelming joy of being part of something of God that we have to share it with someone - with the one person we feel we can trust? So Mary goes to Elizabeth ... to work out her feelings, to try to decipher what God wants of her, to see how her news affects her relationship with Joseph, with her neighbours in Nazareth, with everyone else in the known universe. Butterfly wing effect - a butterfly flapping its wings in one hemisphere brings about weather pattern changes half a world away. What Mary said two thousand years ago is affecting us today, and will affect all those who come, even to the end of time.

Just some thoughts ... perhaps "freer" because I don't have to preach them, out loud at any rate! 8 - )
