Hello, friends! I'd like to announce the release of a couple of new
books of interest to the IC/OC community:
THE OLD CATHOLIC CHURCH by Robert W. Caruso. Caruso examines the
unique eucharistic and ecclesial theology of the European Old
Catholics, and challenges Independent Catholics in the United States
and elsewhere to examine their own views. A solid and original work of
IC/OC theology.
PRIESTS, GNOSTICS & MAGICIANS: EUROPEAN ROOTS OF ESOTERIC INDEPENDENT
CATHOLICISM by Siobhán Houston. A fascinating and enlightening romp
through the past couple of centuries, uncovering and examining the
occult forebears of the contemporary esoteric independent sacramental
churches.
A STRANGE VOCATION: INDEPENDENT BISHOPS TELL THEIR STORIES edited by
Alistair Bate. In this anthology, seventeen IC/OC bishops "open up"
and reveal the grace-filled--and often improbable--journeys that have
led them to their current ministries. An informative overview of how
IC/OC ministry is being lived out at ground level.
All of these, of course, are available on Amazon.com, or in bulk
orders of 10 or more directly from me.
I want to thank you all for supporting The Apocryphile Press. We feel
a great sense of devotion and ministry to the IC/OC community, and
bringing out books that serve our community is one of our primary
reasons for doing what we do. If you have manuscripts that you think
will benefit our community, please don't hesitate to contact me.
There are several other projects on the way, and I will definitely let
you know when they are ready. And if you are on other IC/OC lists,
won't you please forward this message? We want to let as many people
know about these important books as we can.
Blessings on your ministries...
