[Oldcath-l] Bishop Preaching

[Bishop Anthony]

This is one of those makes you go hmmm questions but I am sure it has a
simple answer.

 

I have never seen a Bishop preach seated from the Cathedra. If doing so,
does the Bishop wear the mitre? 

I have seen Bishop’s preach standing with Mitre and Crosier but it would
seem uncomfortable to wear the Mitre seated and preaching.  I am not sure I
would ever preach from the chair I would much rather walk around a little.

 

Any thoughts?
