I relish  your outlook on the situation.
However, no one has mentioned the shadowy presence of  the Rev. Moon.
This is the scariest part of the whole thing.
Moon  claims to be the new Messiah.
Moon has unlimited funds with which he is suborning  both Catholic (esp 
independent) and Protestant  clergy.
Moon is collecting political  and financial power  throughout  the world.
He is directly  attacking the cross of Christ  and traditional    
Christocentric  theology and is to be  closely watched.
As for the tomfoolery, I long ago  became accustomed to 0ld Catholics being 
old Catholics.
The ones who were "consecrated" were implicitly  denying the  value of their 
-0ld Catholic orders and had the ususal "pedigree enhancement" non canonical, 
non traditonal ,heretical  belief  that consecration can be  received more 
than once,or lines transferred more than once.
This just confirms me in my belief that each one of us must look to  himself, 
keep his ministry going, serve God and  His people, and  choose  carefully  
the  hierophants  he associates with, such as yourself, dear  Brother Francis.
